what does this information about genre tell you about

films production- a film would be set to a particular genre e.g. western genre film would include a western desert background.

Film audiences- Different people will be attracted to different genre due to their likes and interests.


AUDIENCES


Age group that made up the largest proportion of cinema admissions in the UK ( who went to the cinema most)

15-24 at 31%

All these movies are animated , and created to make an audience live a life of the magical characters , therefore we can see that kids aged 7-14 are interested in animation more.

  • The wolf of wall street
  • Dracula Untold
  • Non-stop and Edge of tomorrow

Looking at the tables for popular films in London ad Scotland , the differences i can see on two different tables is that table 1.1 seems to show that 7-14 are shown to be more interested in animation e.g. How to train your dragon 2 had 30% of film total audience.


Whereas table 1.2 shows the 15-24 age groups being more interested in action films such as 22 jump street has 68% of total audience.
